Time change on Drum Workshop

Sorry about the confusion. The drum workshop will still happen this Saturday but from 3pm to 4:30pm this Saturday.

This may be a better time. Part of the problem we were having is there are workshops going on in the large Orchid House pavilion. The drumming was interfering with the workshops there. So we may move around a bit and some Saturdays it may be cancelled. Just check the calendar page on the website to make sure it is still happening every other week.

So a wrap up: Drum Workshop this Saturday, March 3rd, from 3-4:30.

Reminder: This is a beginner workshop for djembe drumming. This is not a drum circle. All levels can participate due to the nature of the workshop. For advanced drummers, the beginning can be like a warm up. The main purpose of the workshop is to become comfortable with your drum and to share rhythms and sound. Hope to see you there.

Engaging the Rhythms

Engaging the rhythms.

March 3, 2012     3pm-4:30pm

There is a drum workshop for 2 hours March 3rd and every other Saturday at Happehatchee. We will drum together, communicating with our inner rhythms, connecting us all as one. Learn basic drum technique. Drum to the heartbeat of Happehatchee.

Meet at the new fire circle next to the Orchid House.

Body Awareness with Tibetan Bowls

Come to Happehatchee on Monday nights at 7 p.m. and participate in body awareness sessions with me (Travis) in the main building.

This is more than meditation; it is also part exercise, part discussion, part visualization and entirely relaxing.  I bring my set of seven Tibetan bowls as meditation aids, and I help people to reconnect with their bodies and recover an awareness of what our bodies are really capable of if we just let our “selves” get out of the way.

The sessions last about an hour, and you will leave either ready for a great night’s sleep or ready for a great night out on the town, whichever you prefer!

Please join me and experience it for your “self!”

Drum Circle and Workshop

Just want to let everyone know that we will not be drumming this Saturday or the next Sat for our regular drum workshop. I was hoping to do two drum circles this month but due to Hawkfest coming to our neighborhood we will wait till March 9th for the next Friday drum circle.

We were thinking of having an impromptu drum circle this Sunday from 2-4pm. That way we can easily drum our way to one of the local drum circles after this, if anyone wants. Leave me a comment if you are interested.

Astrology Reading with Heidi

Check out Heidi at Happe on March 10th and 31st.

Expand your perspective!! We are all living in a sea of Cosmic Energy.  I like to compare Astrology to Meteorology ….if you’re planning a trip to the beach, most of us would check the weather report first….If a hurricane is coming , it’s useful to know about it before-hand ! And whether you “believe in it”, or not , doesn’t make much difference to the hurricane !!  The energy currents and tides of the Great Cosmic Sea in which our planet moves are as real as those of the Oceans and the Atmosphere, and can be analyzed and studied through the ancient Science of Astrology.
At the moment of your birth, you separated from your Mothers’ electro-magnetic field, and formed your own about your now individual body. At this moment of formation, your field was imprinted with the electro-magnetic “signature” of the current patterns, and this “imprint” (or should we say “omprint” ?) can also be studied and understood with astonishing accuracy, thanks again to our archaic ancestors.
An Astro-logical chart of any given moment can delineate for us what current energy patterns are in effect, which can help us plan activities, just like a weather report.  If we study a chart of the moment of our birth, it can give us information about our own “imprint” and what our natural characteristics and strengths and weaknesses are.
If we combine the two, we get a powerful tool to help us navigate our lives. By understanding our natural selves, and seeing how the current patterns interact with our own,  we can co-ordinate our plans to better flow with the natural course of events.
In these powerful changing times, Galactic Center is calling to us all…..Are we listening ???

Heidi is available two Saturdays a month for mini-readings here at Happe, in the Harmony House Healing Room, and also for longer readings by appointment. Check the website and newsletter for dates and times , and schedule your reading with Heidi by emailing her at heinrich.heidi@gmail.com

Drum Workshop makes my HEART happy

Heart~~~ “Love sets you free, not thinking”

Sumari said it best, “Sometimes it’s better to not think when you are playing a rhythm.” Learn it, then ~ get out of your head. Move into your heart.

Our Saturday Drum Workshop is going  very sweetly. Every week we are moving in a different vibe. It seems to flow very much with the wind and the trees. Today we chanted to the circles spontaneous song. It was lovely.

Stuart kept the beat with the Djun Djun. There were a few new faces along with the familiar.

Such a happy moment in time for me when others meet in circle along with me. Thank you all for that connection: connection with each other, connection with the earth and all the elements around me and connection with myself.

May the circle be open, but unbroken, may the love of the Goddess be ever in your heart.

May (merry) we meet and may (merry) we part and may (merry) we meet again.

Transform a moment, transform your life

Come join us at Happehatchee Center on the First and Fourth Monday of every month to play the Transformation Game. We start at 5pm and end at 7pm. We will meet at the Orchid House.
