Body Awareness with Tibetan Bowls

Come to Happehatchee on Monday nights at 7 p.m. and participate in body awareness sessions with me (Travis) in the main building.

This is more than meditation; it is also part exercise, part discussion, part visualization and entirely relaxing.  I bring my set of seven Tibetan bowls as meditation aids, and I help people to reconnect with their bodies and recover an awareness of what our bodies are really capable of if we just let our “selves” get out of the way.

The sessions last about an hour, and you will leave either ready for a great night’s sleep or ready for a great night out on the town, whichever you prefer!

Please join me and experience it for your “self!”

About Travis

I am a student at FGCU majoring in philosophy and in communication. I will be graduating in April 2012. I started my involvement with Happehatchee in the end of 2010 as an assistant to Gita with her meditation classes, and as Gita's schedule became increasingly complicated, I took over the Monday night classes permanently. My style of class is very informal and social, which promotes my main focus, relaxation. My classes begin with introductions and greetings, followed by gentle exercises intended to help people to relax and tap into the subtle energies in and around the body. The meditation is also intended to increase awareness of the body and its subtle energies, and I use a set of seven Tibetan bowls as meditation aids. The sessions usually last about one hour on Monday nights starting at 7 pm.
